- National Orientation Agency (NOA) director general Mike Omeri said strategies will be implemented to stop the shipment of counterfeit drugs into Nigeria, allAfrica.com reported Friday.
- Omeri said both the NOA and the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) need to partner with the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to devise effective ways of discouraging counterfeit drug imports.
- "NOA will utilize its numerous platforms including the community theatre, community radio, bulk SMS, e-polling and other on-line platforms to communicate the message against fake and substandard drugs to Nigerians in all the 774 local governments of the country," Orhii said.
